V. Shopping in Sudan

You can get a surprising amount of goods on the market and each month more is available.  To assist you we have indicated a few places and their locations below:

Supermarkets – There are a number of small supermarkets throughout Khartoum 2 and Amarat.  Prices are not marked and may vary from customer to customer and you will need to get to know the actual prices.  These stores keep a variety of basic goods – milk, sugar, juice, oil, rice, cleaning materials and more.

In addition there are some stores who import a greater variety of goods and have there prices marked on the actual goods. At present, these stores are :

  • Amarat Centre 1st Street Amarat
  • Sefco Cemetry Road
  • Supermarket Afra Shopping Centre, Airport Road
  • Fantasia Street 15
  • Al Hawi Street 15, towards Middle Road
  • Alanfal Imtidad Nasir – Middle road
  • Marwa Center St. 60 (Siteen Street)

Numerous stores are also now in Ryad.

Fresh Fruit and vegetable markets are available in Khartoum 2, Riadh and Amarat.
